AOI - Amnesty Opt-In

As of July, 2010 the Federal Reserve Board (thru Regulation E) decided that Banks no longer can charge NSF fees on automated teller machine and one-time debit card transactions unless they have the customers' consent (or OPT-IN agreement). Regulation E also requires Banks to provide a notice that explains the Bank's overdraft services, including the fees associated with the service to their customers, prior to obtaining the "Opt-In".
